Uncertainty
Complexity
Ambiguity
Ironically, these can be relied on as certainty In life. They will exist in all of life’s endeavors in some capacity.
Celebrity therapist and author Phil Stutz, most known for his work with actor Jonah Hill that resulted in a Netflix documentary Stutz, categorizes it slightly differently, but it’s the same general idea. Stutz says there are three things that are always present in life:
Pain
Uncertainty
Constant Work
It’s a fact of life & to me, this is exciting.
Exciting?
“How?” “Why?”
Well, because that is how I choose to view it. We have the opportunity to wake up each day and make an incredible story out of the time we have here. No matter where you are today, it can be the beginning of a triumphant story of step by step, day by day, improving and making the world a better place than we found it each day.
“Let everyone sweep in front of his own door, and the whole world will be clean.”
The only thing stopping that is you, the thoughts and beliefs you have in your mind and how you view your own life.
I conclude with a final thought. You have two choices:
Faith or Fear
Do you have faith it will all play out better than you could ever imagine, or will you live in fear that all of the imagined fears in your head will come true?
Pessimists sound smart, optimists make money and live in the moment.
It’s your choice and I can provide you these thoughts to ponder, but I can’t choose for you.
I have made my choice.
Believe in yourself.
